Lyrics (Waiting for the weekend) Verse 1 Finished work And I’m off to the g That’s where I’ll find my footy family I look at all the people In the colours of my team Gathering together as we build towards the premiership dream Chorus How gooood How goods footy I look to my friends and we ask ourselves.. How gooood How goods footy How good’s the feeling that you get when your team runs out to play.. Verse 2 Win lose or draw We will be there each week Just a matter of time now And we’ll all be on our feet So bring your positive energy And let’s take a seat Cuz when the siren sounds and that whistle blows - There’s nowhere that we’d rather be Chorus How goooood How goods footy? Yeah, there’s nowhere that we’d rather be. How gooood. How good’s footy? Bridge It’s the flight of Jesaulenko It’s the miracle on grass It’s Daicos from the boundary line And Moorecroft’s trip to Mars (Ch ch - Earth to Mars) It’s every spoil and smother Bump and tackle and rushed behind It’s the memories that make us whole - that fill our hearts and minds. (How gooooooods foooooooooty) Chorus How goooood How goods footy? Its kind of a rhetorical question - Because I just can’t find the words to explain how good it is. Outro Footy on an outback oval Footy on a golden plain Footy at the beach in the summer Footy in the pouring rain (How goooood How goods footy?) Kick to kick Jack in the pack Kicking goals when you’re playing in the backline Three winners in the Brownlow Footy on the radio

Lyrics Verse 1 Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square I don't mean to alarm you, but incase you're not aware. Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square Verse 2 Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square We can't quite figure out just how he put it through from there. Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square Verse 3 Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square It's enough to make you utter a profanity on air. (F$#@) Tom Boyd's Kicked A Goal From Inside The Centre Square (And the western suburbs erupt)

Lyrics Verse 1 Have you heard the word around town? About big Benny Brown. He made the journey to Arden street - And he didn’t let the Roos down. One things clear - The rival clubs fear him in the shin - boner attack. When he charges in for goal he takes more steps than the number on his back. (Number 50) Verse 2 Have you heard the word around town? About big Benny Brown. He’s the first kangaroo to kick ten in a game since the king was wearing his crown. All the north fans cheer when he’s in the clear. They’re on their feet when he’s in the pack. The bona fide Tasmanian goal-kicking force with number 50 on his back. (The Coleman is his destiny) Benny. Brown. The new king of North Melbourne Town. (Misc Commentary) Verse 3 Have you heard the word around town? About big Benny Brown. He made the journey to Arden street - And he didn’t let the Roos down. All the people stop and stare at his long curly hair - Including the opposing full back. He's the 7 foot wonder from Davenport with #50 on his back. Verse 4 Have you heard the word around town? About big Benny Brown. He made the journey to Arden street - And he didn’t let the Roos down. All the north fans cheer when he’s in the clear. They’re on their feet when he’s in the pack. The bona-fide Tasmanian goalkicking force - With #50 on his back. (Freakout - za za za za za)

Lyrics Greg Tivendale - Greg - Greg Tivendale (Chant) Verse 1 G’day Tivers- how you been? The best 32 that we’ve ever seen. You used to run around for the yellow and black. Repelling from defence and launching into attack. Chorus Tivers. Tivers. Greg Tivendale number 32 Tivers. Tivers. Greg Tivendale number 32 Verse 2 G’day Tivvers - how’s your left? A weapon of a kick - the tiges were bereft. An out of favour eagle took your thirty two But you can’t turn a bird into a Sabre tooth Chorus Tivers. Tivers. Greg Tivendale number 32 Tivers. Tivers. Greg Tivendale number 32 32 - we love you. Bridge Greg Tivendale - Greg - Greg Tivendale (Chant) We love you! (all together in harmony!) Chorus Tivers. Tivers. Lyrics Verse 1 There's a man at Windy Hill who's made a splash. He wears the number 13 and he dons the sash. He's as quick as quick can be - ah. And his last name is Fantasia. But it's his first name, that you really should know. Oraaaaazio Fantasia. Chorus Ora. Ora. Ora. Orazio. Ora. Ora. Ora. Orazio. If there's a name at Windy Hill you oughtta know. (make it) Ora. Ora. Ora. Orazio. Verse 2 When he broke onto the scene, His star was on the rise. The rising star selectors even picked him twice. When he charges forward, you're in for a treat. He'll bring the whole crowd upto their feet. His name is just a commentator's dream. Chorus Ora. Ora. Ora. Orazio. Ora. Ora. Ora. Orazio. Chorus Razzle Dazzle, he's kicked another goal. Ora. Ora. Ora. Orazio.

Verse 1 A good friend told me, K.B was moving on. I couldn't believe the news, Surely it was wrong. I was never lucky enough, To see the great man play. But I've always enjoyed his unique voice, And what it had to say. Chorus K.B What are we gonna do without K.B The insight of 400 games K.B I'll miss him on the drive home with "The Doc". The thought of it brings a throbbing to me head. The radio's dead. God bless his little head. Things won't be the same without K.B, On 1116. On 1116. Verse 2 I remember morning drives to work, Cup of coffee and "Hungry for Sport". Unparalleled analysis, Natural wit that can't be taught. A larrakhin with callers, Just the right amount of cheek, His commentary on weekends, Such a highlight of the week. I may have never met the man, So I can't call him my friend. But a pint at the Spread Eagle, Only he could recommend. So let us charge our glasses now, Let's hear it for K.B. The Captain-Coach of the SEN Radio, Team Of The Century! Chorus K.B No, They don't come much greater than K.B The insight of 400 games K.B. I'll miss him on the drive home with "The Doc". The thought of it brings a throbbing to me head. The radio's dead. God bless his little head. Things won't be the same without K.B. On 1116. (SPOKEN) We'll miss you K.B..

"How Good's Footy?" is the debut EP from Melbourne musician and producer Simon Wood. Started in 2018 and completed during the lockdowns of 2020, this collection of singalongs is the result of a borderline obsession with Australian Rules Football and a lot of spare time with a bunch of instruments.
